The reset pin on the micro controller is puled up with a 1k resistor and there is a 0.01 uF capacitor to filter power. The micro controller listens for a control signal and a feedback signal is given by pulling it to ground using an npn transistor.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The code is extremely simple, the mcu waits for the control signal to be high for more than 250ms then enables the feedback signal and turns on the relay until the control signal goes low. One issue for myself was the lighting, almost all campers still use 12 volt incandescent bulbs, they bathe everything in a terrible orange glow and either are too dim or have a pathetic lamp life of less than 200 hours.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This simply would not do, my parents did not use the campers lights simply because the damn lights got too hot and melted the polycarbonate dome causing it to sag. They used too high a wattage bulbs but the ones that were rated for the fixture you could not even read by.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A quick bit of searching and i found appropriately sized cool white 108 lumen &lt;a href="http://www.dealextreme.com/p/g4-1-2w-108-lumen-6500k-24-smd-led-car-white-light-bulb-dc-12v-51141"&gt;12 volt led panels&lt;/a&gt;, they took forever to arrive but a a price of 2 dollars apiece on a bulk order in november i would not expect them to arrive any time soon anyways.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Considering the life expectancy of leds drops quite a bit at higher temperatures and that the panel would be enclosed i decided to add a &lt;a href="http://www.dealextreme.com/p/aluminum-cooler-heat-sink-chipset-for-ram-memory-w-type-8-piece-set-35816"&gt;heatsink&lt;/a&gt;. Mounting the lights ended up being easier, i simply broke the the glass and soldered the panel directly onto the wire that held the filament. The result was alot sturdier than i thought it would be and required no modification to the fixture. I stripped it for parts and scrap aluminum simply because i am moving in a few weeks and could not find a home for it. Lots of dials, switches, tubes, germanium diodes and whatnot inside but there was something that made absolutely no sense, a heavily shielded cable about 2 meters long stuffed inside of a shielded box labeled danger high voltage. I happened to have a collimator lens i salvaged from another projector that fit on top of the reflector, with the reflector and lens siliconed down it was ready to install. A note of warning, the power leds tend to have a silicone lens injected over them which is quite fragile and easily peeled off. A slight disappointment was the fact that&amp;nbsp; the led was not as bright as i hoped it would be, it ended up producing an image about as half as bright as it originally did. For a bit more money a much brighter led can he had that would make this more worthwhile. Considering how much longer an led will last compared to the ~2000 of a uhp lamp and the power savings. Probing with a dmm showed 5 volt signals, further probing with an oscilloscope showed that the control board pulses a high signal to start the hv board which gives a constant low while the bulb is running. Most drivers you can fins will only provide enough power to light a few feet of EL wire and drive at a static frequency. I wanted to observe the color shift that occurs when driving at higher frequencies.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The circuit is a simple 555 timer in astable mode with a 10k potentiometer to adjust the working frequency from around 150 to 3000 hertz. The output is used to switch a tip122 power transistor which sinks a transformer that produce close to 100 volts ac. Please note that many audio transformers are potted with a low melting point wax and can get warm enough to leak and fill the holes of your breadboard!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; I made this assumption when i looked at the camera configurations for trinocular microscopes. In that time i have collected over a hundred eproms and i really should do something with them. I already have a chip programmer but lack the necessary eraser needed to prepare the chips for programming.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Naturally i went online to see what was out there... for 5 to 20 dollars i could get an eraser with a capacity of 2 or 3 chips. That won't do the trick if i want to batch test a few hundred of these things. The solution came when i found an old florescent blacklight in the corner, it drives f15t8 bulbs and i can easily get g15t8 bulbs which emit light in the crucial UVC spectrum.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The only real issue is the fact the UVC spectrum is very dangerous, enough to cause burns to the skin and your retina! Everything works fine so far, it takes about 7 minutes to erase a 27c512 eprom. bolts down so that i could thread bolts in each corner. then thread locked bolts on each end and epoxied rare earth magnets. The idea was to hold a sheet of steel or plastic while allowing freedom to center the sensor. Regular epoxy did not hold very well to either the bolts or the pvc so i used jb weld. It worked out quite well since i need a fair bit of control over the amount of magnification. I picked up a cheap adapter that allows a m42 lens to be used with a different camera mount, filed down the bayonet tips on the back and used it for a flange to mount the lens . At 1600*1200 video resolution at ~15 frames per second im not complaining. After gutting the camera and removing the lens i simply mounted it on a square of thick plastic with some hot glue, it is held on by rare earth magnets on either side. For my first test subjects i used my large collection of eproms, my first tests allowed me to see the NEC logo and manufacturer's code on an old 8051 micro controller. Quartz windows do unfortunately give a bit of distortion, also the depth of field is very narrow. I'm building a cross slide to properly hold and focus with this thing. So far i have been focusing manually by sliding it back and forth until the target comes into focus and gently nudge the camera the rest of the way.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both;
